125 and still rational
Maria Olivia da Silva recently celebrated her 125th birthday. At 125, she's the oldest woman alive. Here's a pic:

well, we're all slowly but surely dying; it's just in some of us, the process is further along than in others.

LMAO I’m glad to see that she made it to 125 but I have to say, we’ll probably all look just about the same as her when we’re 125

No, we'll all probably look considerably worse when we're 125. If we haven't been reduced to a fine powder of burnt and ground bone, that is.

What a crappy news article. They didn't mention anything that immediately strikes me as interesting: What does she eat? Do for a living? Lifestyle? How do they measure rationality? Can she WALK?

That's way cool, though. It's difficult to judge pictures because they're two-dimensional, and are a moment in time and space. Austrians will appreciate the limitations inherent in the latter fact. And the angle of the picture is from above, when it's obvious her eyebrows are wrinkled downward. I think the angry look is the unvirtuousness of a photographer trying to get artsy with his craft (or is it vice versa?) rather than trying to channel Maria's spirit or nature.

Plus, you gotta figure there's something more to her eyes than we'd know or understand, given her age. I see a difference between the eyes of an 8-year old and a 25-year old. Perhaps we label her look as anger and react in fear because we simply don't know what to make of it.

Not that anyone's going to read this because I posted so late...
